So it’s official - I’m starting to (sort of) integrate here. Or so, I hope. First piece of evidence: without Tumblr. enabled spell check, all the ‘a’ letters in the previous sentence would have been a ‘q’ and all ‘w’ would be ‘z’.
Aside from keyboard issues, it’s been difficult to integrate given that I am always tagged as a tourist. So all the Chinese-LV-purse-buying tourists in Paris is becoming a bit of an obstacle for me to truly integrate. At the same time, I find it funny how even though I’m living a new life here, I’m seeking to recreate my old life (habits-wise). But why? I have this new clean slate to re-start. Not just the things I do, but also how people see me, new ambitions, and basically who I am. So then if I can change who I am, did I ever know who I was? Perhaps we are all dynamic and I’ll never really know. So I guess now I have to figure out - who am I in Paris?
